 This international conference brings together scientists from many countries and diverse disciplines to explore the multifaceted challenges faced by coastal areas across the globe. It aims at creating a better understanding of the environmental and social context which make the problems of coastal regions so relevant to today's world. The topics studied cover the complex interactions between environmental change, media framing, technical-administration and public policy.
